'Show Amsterdam that you can run?

Running Holland organizes in cooperation with athletic club Phanos a course preparing for several distances of the ING Amsterdam Marathon (16th October 2005). In 8 weeks you train to run the ?Echo? 10 km or the half marathon. Kids of 6 years and older are welcome as well and train for one of the kids runs (1 of 2,5 km)

training
Experienced runners who want to increase their running speed as families who like to start their weekend sportive both are welcome. A training starts with a warming-up followed up by power exercises, running technique and an interval programme to build up the stamina. We train in group levels for a little bit more than a hour. The training sessions take place in the Olympic Stadium(1928), exceptionally not.

You need to have a basic level to join the course
10 kilometer: the last month you ran 15 minutes in once without having problems afterwards.

21,1 kilometer: the last month you ran 45 minutes in once without having problems afterwards.

Children: no running experience needed
all participants need to be fit and without any risk of having medical and physical problems during this course.

8 weeks

The first training session takes place on Saturday the 20th of august at 9.30 hours. The next 7 sessions are the 8 following weeks. The last training is Saturday 8 October.

50 euro, inclusive 8 trainings and trainings schedule. Showers are available

Children 6-14 years: 35 euro
